Favorite Game

My favorite game to watch and play with my friends would have to be football.  It is a very exciting sport and it is easy to understand.  My favorite college teams are the Florida Gators and the Clemson Tigers (obviously).  My favorite player ever was Tim Tebow.  He made watching football very exciting and won two national championships, as well as a Heisman trophy.  He now plays for the Denver Broncos.  My favorite NFL team is the Chicago Bears.  Football is a great way to bring people together to cheer for their city, college, or even high school.

Reality

Reality is what is really going on around us.  Our mind sometimes plays tricks on us, and we try to hear, see, or believe what we want.  Looking past these tricks is what is actually going on.  Reality has been used a lot in pop culture recently.  The movie, Inception, is a great example of reality.  In this movie, the characters go into dreams to attempt to make people believe something in real life.  They end up going three dreams deep to plant an idea into the head of someone, which is known as inception.  This movie has great examples of how when you are dreaming you don’t know you are actually dreaming.  There are small differences between reality and our dreams, but when we are asleep everything seems normal.  It’s not until we wake up that we realize that it was a dream and wasn’t reality.  Sometimes people’s realities can be different based on their beliefs.  In my reality, religion is not a big part of my life, and I feel that heaven and god may not exist.  In other people’s realities, god exists and is a big part of their life.  Racism and ignorance is also a way to change someone’s reality.  Hitler used to persecute the Jews based on his reality of Jews being evil.  This is actually very false.  In conclusion, reality is what is actually going on, and since people have different views and opinions, their realities can in fact vary.

This advertisement is targeting bicycle riders. It is a picture of a man who is in the hospital who has seriously injured everything but his head. It is therefore an ad for helmets.  The use of the color white throughout the picture makes the healthy skull stand out. This was very clever of them because otherwise it would be difficult to see what the advertisement was trying to sell.  What I like about this advertisement is that it is funny and it gets straight to the point.  There is nothing you have to read, but you clearly get the picture.  All in all, I now want to purchase a LAZER helmet. They seem reliable and the company is very clever.

About Me

Hello class. My name is Arik Adrian. I was born in Tampa, Florida and was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida until I was 13. I then moved to Waxhaw, NC and lived there for the rest of high school.  I now go to Clemson University (obviously) and am majoring in General Engineering as of now.  I may want to change to Business.  I love watching football, basketball, and listening to music.  My favorite NFL teams are the Buccaneers, Bears, and Patriots.  My favorite basketball team is the Chicago Bulls.  By the way my dad is from Chicago so that's why I'm a fan of Chicago teams.  My favorite rapper is Lil Wayne who just came out with Tha Carter IV. I'm looking forward to a fun English class!
