Reality

Reality is what is really going on around us.  Our mind sometimes plays tricks on us, and we try to hear, see, or believe what we want.  Looking past these tricks is what is actually going on.  Reality has been used a lot in pop culture recently.  The movie, Inception, is a great example of reality.  In this movie, the characters go into dreams to attempt to make people believe something in real life.  They end up going three dreams deep to plant an idea into the head of someone, which is known as inception.  This movie has great examples of how when you are dreaming you don’t know you are actually dreaming.  There are small differences between reality and our dreams, but when we are asleep everything seems normal.  It’s not until we wake up that we realize that it was a dream and wasn’t reality.  Sometimes people’s realities can be different based on their beliefs.  In my reality, religion is not a big part of my life, and I feel that heaven and god may not exist.  In other people’s realities, god exists and is a big part of their life.  Racism and ignorance is also a way to change someone’s reality.  Hitler used to persecute the Jews based on his reality of Jews being evil.  This is actually very false.  In conclusion, reality is what is actually going on, and since people have different views and opinions, their realities can in fact vary.
